I got “into” film as a result of a devastating, career ending injury. I
decided to return to school determined to do something I was passionate
about and enjoyed as well. Within the context of film courses, I found
that I wanted to be involved in the production end of filmmaking.
While I have skills in oversight management, pre and post-production,
set safety, communications, and problem solving, a professor suggested I
study script supervising in an effort to remain continuously employed.
I took that advice and soon found that I excelled at capturing detail on
the set and at the same time, enjoyed being part of a team that enables
a project to come to fruition.
I have been a Script Supervisor on many different types of productions,
which has provided the added benefit of learning and coming to know how
to work within the constraints of multiple styles and budgets. I
particularly enjoy working on projects that broaden our views on the
world and society we live in.
